Follow these tips for finding replacement glass for cabinets:
- Decide what type of glass you want and need for your cabinets. Options include standard clear plate glass, decorative or etched glass and even stained glass. Compare costs according to style and size.
- Determine the size of the panel you will be replacing. If the original glass from your cabinet is in tact, measure it. If not measure the opening for the glass and add approximately 1/8 inch to the width and height.
- For standard plate glass, you can take the measurements to most hardware stores. They can cut a piece of glass to fit your specifications.
- For stained or decorative glass, you will need to go to a glass specialty store where they will be able to design the glass plate for you.
