Having fun birthday party games can make a big difference in the success of a birthday party. You want to make sure that your kids have a great time but you do not want to break the bank during the process. Here are some of the best fun and free birthday party games that you can try. 

Musical Chairs

One of the classic birthday party games that does not cost anything is musical chairs. Take chairs and put them in a circle facing outward in the center of a room or outside. You need one less chair than you have people playing the game. If you do not have enough chairs, you can simply use a piece of paper to represent where each child will sit on the ground. Start playing some music on the radio and while music is playing, the kids walk around the seats in a circle.

Then turn the music off. When the music stops playing, everyone has to find a seat. The person that is left without a seat is out of the game. Then you remove one of the seats and continue the game. After every round, one of the seats will be removed until there is only one person left in the game. The last person in the game is the winner.

Two Balls

Another fun game that you can play involves two balls. With this game, you will divide all of the party guests into two teams. One team will made up of an equal number of boys and girls. Each ball that is used in the game should be a different color. One person will stand in the middle of the two teams.

The person in the middle will have both balls and will throw them randomly at the two teams. One color will be designated for girls and one color will be designated for boys. When a boy or girl catches the ball that is not their color, they are out of the game. The game ends when only one team has any players left. The person in the middle tries to confuse the players by throwing both balls at once or acting as if they will throw the balls.

Kick the Can

Kick the can is another good game for birthday parties. This game is best played if you have a large outdoor area and you play at night. With this game, one person will be "it" and the other players will scatter throughout the yard and hide as best they can. There will be a can in the middle of the yard in a lighted area. The players try to get to the can and kick it before the person that is "it" can call out their name. If your name gets called, you are temporarily out of action. If someone successfully kicks the can, they will free all of the people that have been trapped.
