Why use baking soda?
Baking soda cleaning is cheap, easy, effective, safe, and a great alternative to harmful ammonia products and other all-purpose cleaning products.
Removing bad odors
You already know that keeping baking soda in your refrigerator will do wonders to keep everything smelling fresh, but did you know that sprinkling baking soda on your carpeting before a vacuum will have the same results? Or how about at the bottom of your garbage can, litter box, ashtrays, and even camping gear?
Baking soda cleaning
Baking soda cleaning is an effective use for baking soda. For one, you don’t have to worry about your kids or pets getting into it: it’s not going to kill them. Here are some great baking soda cleaning uses:
• Baking soda on a wet cloth to clean surfaces leaves things smelling clean, not sterile.
• Cleaning silverware with baking soda is a cinch when you create a paste with the powder and scrub your silver.
• Caking baking soda on your burnt pans and soaking them in water over night will remove nearly all tough sticks (try vinegar, too).
• Try baking soda cleaning on grease spills. Sprinkle with baking soda and then wipe with a warm, damp cloth.
• Use it on your dog! Just sprinkle a bit on the fur and comb it out.
• Cover spills with baking soda and blot before vacuuming. This works like magic.
