Hip Exercise
Hip Exercise is very important to protect the hip from normal wear and tear. Normal wear and tear can cause osteoarthritis. A hip exercise can be done right in your home in a short period of time. There are several exercises that you can choose from.
- Hip Flex – This hip exercise is simple but effective. You Lift one leg from the floor and bend it so that it is perpendicular to your hip. After holding for five seconds lower your leg.
- Lifting Leg – While lying on one side bend the leg you’re lying on. Lift the other leg as high as you can off the ground and hold it for a few seconds, and then bring your leg back to the ground.
- Wall Seat – This hip exercise is not easy, however it’s very effective. Stand with your back against the wall and lower yourself until your legs are bent at a 90 degree angle representing a sitting position. Hold this position for 5 seconds and then stand back up.
