How can I keep bugs away from my front porch lights?

by DoItYourself Staff

Summer is great, but not the bugs that come along with it, and they are drawn by your front porch lights. They are sure an inconvenience to your comfort zone. If you are tired of them, there is a sure way to get rid of them. Get ground cloves, a bay leaf, nutmeg and caraway seeds, put them in a zip top bag and shake them up. No measurements are needed here, just a pinch of each of them. Poke holes into this bag, small enough to keep your contents from spilling. Then, hang this bag a near the light, though not too close, and there will be no more bugs.
