How do I install a GFCI circuit breaker?

by DoItYourself Staff

Installing a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter or GFCI circuit breaker is an easy process. For this, you need to flip the breakers to an off position and then open the panel of the breaker in the main circuit of your home. The process is similar to the installation of a normal breaker. Simply connect the neutral wire (the white one) of the main circuit of the device to your GFCI breaker. It will have a pigtail-like wire that is also white. Connect this to the buss bar (neutral).
