How Does a Digital Pressure Gauge Work?
In order to understand the way a digital pressure gauge operates you should grasp the concept of how the parts work in unison. Let’s take a little look at the anatomy of a digital pressure gauge.
Types
Digital pressure gauges are employed in many fields. They can gauge water pressure, air pressure and so on. Digital tire pressure gauges are particularly useful and accurate for reading, precisely, the level of pressure in your tires. Using a gauge to tell when a tire needs air can save you money and prevent your tire from getting too soft and wearing down.
Make Up
At the tip of the gauge you will see a thick needle style object. This is the valve which attaches to the tire valve stem. When the valve is pressed against the stem of the tire valve it will depress the valve stem (that little nozzle that opens and closes the valve) and opens it. Inside the pressure gauge is computerized chip which assesses the pressure being obtained by the valve receiver. This produces a read out which will appear on the LED screen and show you the exact amount of Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) in your tire. Your accurate read out will assess the amount of air in your tires and show whether you need to top them up.
