How Long Does Vinyl Plank Flooring Last?

by DoItYourself Staff

The longevity of vinyl plank flooring really depends on the thickness and the wear layer on the product that you are purchasing. Some of the thicker vinyl floors on the market come with warranties as long as 25 years. If you are using a thin vinyl, it will generally last somewhere between 5 and 10 years with normal use. If you want a vinyl that will wear well, consider purchasing a flex-floor material that is made of virgin vinyl.
