How to Check Your CPU Temperature
There are three different ways to measure your CPU temperature. You can check it through the BIOS, you can use a motherboard software program or you can use a third party software program. The motherboard and third party software programs will depend on the system running on your CPU but the Bios process will not, so it is the easiest means for checking your CPU temperature. The following steps will enable you to check your CPU temperature through Bios.
Accessing Bios
Turn on your computer, then press the Del key or the F2 key to get to BIOS. The key you will need will depend on your motherboard. If you don't know which key to use, press the Pause/Break key on your computer keyboard. Your monitor will then display the instructions for accessing BIOS.
Checking the CPU Temperature
After you have entered Bios, you will proceed to the CPU Health Status or a similar system. In the Health Status System the CPU temperature can be checked.
Solving Overheating Problems
To solve any overheating problems that might occur you can: use a better thermal encasement suitable for your CPU, use an extra CPU fan to reduce the internal temperature of your computer, lower the temperature in the room where your CPU is located or increase the internal air circulation of your computer case.
