How to Clean a Natural Stone Floor
what you'll need
- Broom and dustpan
- Neutral PH brand of liquid soap
- Warm water
- Clean buckets
- Sponge-tipped mop
If any area of your home features a natural stone floor, it is important that you familiarize yourself with how to properly clean it. Below are the easy-to-follow steps you will need to take in order to remove dirt from your natural stone flooring.
Step 1 - Dust Your Floor
The first step in cleaning a natural stone floor is to remove any dust with the aid of a broom and dustpan. Alternatively, if you have a mini vac or a regular vacuum cleaner with brush attachments, you can use these cleaning tools instead.
Step 2 - Mop Your Floor
Having vigorously dusted your natural stone floor, it's time to begin mopping. Start by combining a neutral PH brand of liquid soap with warm water in a clean bucket. Then, once your cleaning solution has taken shape, load up your sponge-tipped mop and proceed to give your floor a thorough mopping.
Step 3 - Rinse Your Floor
Once all floor-based filth has been removed, fill another bucket with warm water, load up your mop and proceed to remove any remaining traces of your cleaner. Use a nonabrasive cloth or a dry sponge-tipped mop to subsequently dry the floor.
