Corrugated plastic roofing is not very difficult to cut. With the right tools you will be able to quickly cut it. Read on to find out how to achieve a nicely cut plastic roofing sheet.
Step 1 – Prep work
Lay the corrugated plastic roofing sheet on a hard surface. Make sure the surface is stable. To prevent the surface from getting scratched while cutting the corrugated plastic roofing sheet, place plywood or cardboard under it.
Step 2 – Measure and Mark
Use a measuring tape to measure the spots where the corrugated plastic roofing sheet has to be cut. Draw a line in that spot with a marker. Make sure the line is straight.
Step 3 – Cutting
Use a utility knife to cut the marked portions. The utility knife gives you the free hand to cut the corrugated plastic roofing sheet according to the area it needs to fit into. Since the material is plastic the utility knife will suffice.
Step 4 – Alternative
If you hit a thick spot on the corrugated plastic roofing sheet, then use a band saw with a fine blade to carry out the cutting. This will ensure you a clean and even cut, without any splinters.
