How to Fix a Dishwasher that is not Draining
- Check the power supply - If the fuse is blew; the dishwasher will not operate as well as drain.
- Make sure the dishwasher has finish a full cycle - Stopping the dishwasher mid cycle can cause it not to drain.
- Make sure the door is securely shut - If the door is coming off its hinges or not properly closing then it can cause problems with the draining process.
- Remove food trapped in the drain - Check the bottom of the dishwasher. If there is any food that is stuck around the drain it could be obstructing the water from draining.
- Check the hoses - Make sure the hoses are properly attached to the back of the dishwasher. If the hoses have become loose it can cause the dishwasher to stop draining all together.
