How to Fold Bed Sheets

You do not need to wait for someone to help you fold your flat or fitted bed sheets. Keep these tips in mind after you pull them out of the dryer and iron them. 

Fitted Sheets

• Spread your sheet on a large tabletop or bed. Keep each hand into the top and bottom corner of the right side of the sheet. While your hand is still inside each corner, fold the sheet in half, keeping the right sides together, and then slip the top corners into the bottom corners of the sheet.
• Lay your sheet on the tabletop or bed again and arrange the corners neatly. Turn the sides to make them straight.
• Fold the sheet in half, then half again. You will be left with a neat, compact square that you can place on a shelf. 

Flat Sheets

• Spread your flat sheet on a bed or tabletop and match the top two corners to the bottom two corners. Fold your sheet in half so all the four corners meet.
• Lay the sheet on your bed and fold in half once, then half again, so you have a neat rectangle strip.
• Fold it in half, then half again. Smooth out your compact square sheet with your hands.
