Another option for fly pest control that is not harmful in any way is to use regular sandwich or freezer baggies. Simply fill the baggie three quarters of the way with regular tap water and hang from fishing line.

Another method that has been around for a long time is the electric bug zapper. This will require an electric outlet, which sometimes is not available in the garden.
