How to Hide a Litter Box

The litter box  is one of the unfortunate parts about owning a cat. You know you need the litter box, but you do not want to see or smell it. The best way to hide it is with a unit which will double as a play palace.

Step 1 – Make Your Design

The fun palace you create can be of any design you choose. The one component which needs to be the same is the box on the ground section which will be large enough to accommodate the litter box.

Step 2 – Construct the Play Palace

Cut plywood to meet the needs of your design. Make sure part of your design will include a door large enough to remove the litter box for cleaning. This will be attached by two hinges which will swing upward. Use screws to attach the hinges and nails to keep the structure together.

Step 3 – Cover it Up

In  order to make the play palace OK to look at, cover the entire thing with carpet. This will also serve to protect your cat and give them something to scratch for fun and relaxation.
