How to Install a Stack Washer and Dryer
what you'll need
- Wrench
A stack washer and dryer is very good for those with limited space in their homes. There is not much difference in installing this type of dryer and installing a regular dryer or washer and you can easily do it yourself. Remember to have your user manual incase you need to refer. Below are the steps to do it.
Step 1: Positioning
Begin by positioning the washer and dryer as close as possible to power and water sources. Close enough to plug in the power as well as connect the water lines.
Step 2: Connecting Water Lines
Connect the water lines as required by the model, either by screwing or bolting the lines in place. If color coded attach hot water to the red line while cold water goes with blue. If the washer and dryer units are separate you can now place the dryer on top of the washer. There will usually be bolting provided for this. If your dryer has a vent, attach the hose and if not continue to the next step.
Step 3: Plugging Washer
Plug the washer dryer into the power and run a test to see if it works properly and test that water is at desired temperatures. If the unit works fine, push it into the place it should be positioned while keeping in mind that you should leave some space at the back and not push it to the wall.
It is important to make sure that all attached or connected parts like hoses are tightly held in place. Do not allow loose fitting of any kind.
