what you'll need
- Measuring tape or ruler
- A Pencil
- Screws
- A Drill
- Screw driver
- A Level
There are many different kinds of cabinet catches, but double roller catches are amongst the most popular. To keep your cabinets closed, here is a quick How To for installing them.
Step 1 – Measure
Mark where your cabinet door sits on the cabinet base, the measure out the location for the double roller and the catch on the doors and the cabinets, marking the corners with a pencil. Make sure they line up and are consistent on each cabinet.
Step 2 – Drill
Hold your hardware up into it’s marked space, and use the level to make sure they are straight. Mark the drill holes with the pencil and use the drill to make the holes. Be careful with your drill setting, as you do not want it to push through the cabinet faces.
Step 3 – Attach
Use the drill or the screw driver to attach your double roller catches into place with screws, the double roller on the doors and the catch on the cabinets. Check it again with the level before tightening the screws all the way. Test each one to be sure that it lines up perfectly.
