- Level
A clothes dryer is a common appliance that is found in most homes. When installing a clothes dryer, you will want to make sure that it is completely level. Here are the basics of how to level a clothes dryer effectively and easily.
Step 1 - Locate the Feet
On the bottom of most clothes dryers, you should be able to find some feet to work with. These feet will look like a little round device sticking out of the bottom of the dryer. They will be located on the corners of the dryer and this is what you will need to use in order to level it out.
Step 2 - Turn the Feet
Once you have located the feet underneath the dryer, you need to turn them in order to move them up or down. Sometimes you can move them with your fingers. However, if they are stubborn, you may have to use pliers or a wrench to get them moving.
Step 3 - Level the Dryer
Once you start turning the feet, you should be able to level out the dryer appropriately. Put a level on the top of the dryer and keep turning the feet until you achieve a level surface.
