How to Make Homemade Gift Certificates

Homemade gift certificates are a fun, creative and thoughtful way to give a gift. They can be used for parents, kids, babysitters or just about anyone. All you need is your computer, printer and some imagination.

Some people are hard to buy for, so why not give them something that comes from the heart instead. For a woman who has everything, but time, you can create a booklet of thoughtful actions to brighten her day.

Start with a theme. Think of things that mean something to your busy wife. Choose items like: packing the kids lunches for a week, laundry duty for a day, handling the weekly grocery shopping and other chores that most moms get tired of doing.
Use your word processing software to create coupons for each "gift". Be sure to add pictures and choose interesting fonts for each page. Make each page unique.
Print your certificates, cut them to size and staple them into a booklet.
Put the booklet into an envelope or include a card.
