How to Properly Install Pendant Lamps

Pendant lamps are a versatile lighting option that can make spaces in a home shine more brightly. Follow the simple steps below to effectively install a pendant lamp.

Step 1 - Knowing How Many Lamps Are Needed

First, determine where you will install the pendant lamps and how many sets of wires you will need.

Step 2 - Running The Wires

Make sure that the breaker is off in the room where the lamps will be installed. If needed, try running new wiring or split the existing wiring. For split wiring, drill holes in the wall and pull the wiring through.

Step 3 - Attaching Pendant Lamps

Attach the pendant wiring to the circuit box wiring. Then, screw the pendant lamp fixture into the ceiling. Once this is done, add your light bulbs. Choose any type of light bulbs that suits the mood of the room. For example, a kitchen will have brighter lights than a den or study.

Step 4 - Putting the Room Back in Order

Once the new pendant lamps are hung, turn the breaker back on and place everything back to order. The new lamp should last for a while and can easily be replaced by repeating the same steps over again.
