How to Remove a Dishwasher Spray Arm

There are different designs for washing machines, however, when removing dishwasher spray arm the same guidelines can be used. Do not use force when dismounting components from the equipment, this can cause them to hold on more tightly. Be firm and gently and always work in the same direction.

Step 1 – Turn off Water Supply

Make sure that is safe to work with the machine, if it is hot, allow it to cool down before removing the dishwasher arm. In this case, there might not be need for tools or equipments. Put on working gloves and turn off water supply to the dish washing machine.

Step 2 – Dismount Dishwasher Spray Arm

Start by turning off power supply to the machine. Unplug it from the socket and place the cable in a safe place. Locate the dishwasher arm in the particular machine. If it is fixed too tightly then a wrench or a pair of pliers can be used to loosen the grip. Be careful not to damage the any pipes or dishwasher arm. Use hands to dismount the spray arm from the washing machine.

Step 3 – Carry out Repairs

Carry out regular inspection on the dishwasher machine. Repair components in the equipment as soon as a faults or damages occur. It prevents problems from escalating into something serious which can cost a lot of money to repair.
