How to Replace a Grout Saw Blade

by DoItYourself Staff

Wear and tear on a grout saw can quickly damage your blade. A grout saw allows you to remove grout from your tile effortlessly and saves you hours of work in the process. You will notice that if the grout saw blade has become dull it will begin to struggle and will not work as well. At that time, you will know it is time to change your blade. Grout blades are cheap, and need to be replaced often, so it is good idea to keep a few spare blades.

Installing the Blade

Before you begin, be sure that the grout saw is not plugged in. If you are ever in doubt about any of the parts of the saw, check your instruction manual for further guidance.

To replace the saw, locate where the blade screws into the grout saw and unscrew it. Slide the blade in and then screw the screw back into the saw. Be sure that the screw is tight enough to keep from rattling off the saw to avoid injuries when working with the tool later.
