Replacing the sliding glass door panel in your sliders is not a difficult project and you should be able to accomplish it in a short period of time.
Removing the Doors
On the top of most sliding glass doors there are adjustment screws that allow you to adjust the door up or down. Loosen the screws to allow you to take the door down and remove it. There are some models of sliding doors that put the adjustment screws on the bottom of the door as well.
If you are only removing the doors and not the entire frame, you can simply reinstall the new door now. Otherwise, there are screws that hold the frame in place. To remove the frame, find the screws and remove them from the wall of your home. This will allow you to remove the frame and replace it with a new one.
Repairing Your Sliders
Repairing the various components on your sliders is relatively simple. You can usually find additional parts from the manufacturer of your sliders to replace broken or defective parts. Replacing the glass may require you to remove the entire glass door and replace it with a new one. These should also be available from the manufacturer.
