How to Seal Limestone Pavers
what you'll need
- Limestone sealer
- Paint roller
- Broom
- Dustpan
In order to seal limestone pavers effectively, there are a number of steps that you will need to take. Sealing your limestone pavers can help you keep them looking new for the foreseeable future and prevent any stains. Here are the basics of how to seal limestone pavers successfully.
Step 1- Clean the Area
Before any sealer can be applied, you need to thoroughly clean the area. Try to remove any dust or dirt from the pavers before applying the sealer. Use a broom and a dustpan to sweep off the dust and dirt from the area. Anything that is left behind will be sealed into the surface once the sealer is applied.
Step 2 - Seal the Pavers
Once the area is cleaned, you can start to apply the sealer to the limestone pavers. Dump the sealer into a bucket or pan and then dip a paint roller in the sealer. Use the paint roller to roll the sealer on to the pavers. Apply the sealer very liberally to the surface of the pavers and make sure that everything gets covered.
Step 3 - Allow to Dry
Once you have applied the sealer to the limestone pavers, you need to make sure that you allow ample time to dry before walking on them.
