How to Secure Your Myspace Privacy
Myspace is one of the original and most successful online social networking websites in the United States. Social networking websites like Myspace are useful and safe as long as you know how to control and modify your security settings. This article identifies some myspace security features and teaches you how to protect your account.
Navigate to the General Privacy Web Page to Alter Settings:
- Log into Myspace using your e-mail address and password.
- Look to the left hand corner; next to your default picture you will see a list of links including: “Edit Profile, Account Settings, Add/Edit Photos” etcetera. Click on the link entitled “Account Settings.”
- Above the area where you may change your e-mail you will see another set of links horizontally organized: “Contact Info, Account, Password, Privacy, Spam” etcetera. Click on the link entitled “Privacy.”
- This webpage gives you the ability to control your general privacy settings. Here, you may control the information that may be accessed by Myspace users who are not on your “friends” list.
- Use the general privacy settings web page to control who can view your personal information, photographs, comment page, friends list and your status and mood.
