Is cove molding or crown molding easier to install?
Cove molding is actually a form of crown molding. Crown molding has the familiar L-shape and fits into the area between the ceiling and wall. Cove molding has a concave shape to it that leaves a channel between the molding and the area where the ceiling meets the wall. Cove molding, because of the specific way in which it needs to be cut and installed, can be much more difficult to install than crown molding. Even with the most advanced miter saw available, it can be extremely difficult to create clean inner and outer corners with cove molding versus crown molding.
