Is it easier to apply plaster patch to corners than spackling?

by DoItYourself Staff

Plaster patch is a repair compound designed to repair larger cracks and holes in plaster walls. Spackle is a type of drywall patching compound that works well with papered drywall. Applying both compounds can be simple, but spackle tends to be a bit more forgiving than plaster patch. In wall corners that need repair, it can be a bit easier to use spackle than plaster patch. Plaster patch is designed to fix holes and cracks in the wall, which makes it a bit difficult to apply in corners. Spackle tends to stick better in corners, and would be a better choice for small corner repairs.
