Is solar or LED lighting brighter?

Between solar and LED lighting, LEDs are typically the brighter of the two. Solar lights, however, commonly feature LED bulbs, so the problem of dimness associated with earlier types of solar lights has been somewhat reduced. The problem with solar lights is that they depend upon sunlight to charge. Higher-quality solar lights feature more LEDs per light, but they still won't be as bright as low-voltage LED lights even when fully charged.

LED Lights

A 25-Watt LED floodlight or spotlight can produce as much light as a 120-Watt incandescent bulb. The brightest LED lights use a low-voltage AC transformer, so they require a wired connection. If you are looking for more than nighttime ambiance, definitely opt for LED lights rather than solar.
