Hello! Could someone give me some advice on how to build the knee wall for a sunroom. I have a lanai off the side of the house and want to convert to a sunroom.

Thank you

Heather

Knee wall construction is pretty simple and straight forward. Top and bottom plates, 2X4 studs at 16" O.C., exterior and interior finish, etc.

As far as the lanai goes, before you start adding walls to that, ESPECIALLY in an area where you have hurricanes, check with your local building department. The wind loads for a deck are one thing. But adding walls and a roof to it is going to change EVERYTHING that is required to meet code.
