Laundry Stain Removal Tips

by DoItYourself Staff

Laundry stain removal should be done with caution. You want to ensure you read all care instructions on the labels of the clothing or fabrics. As with any stain, the laundry stain removal process is easier if done immediately.

Using a clean dry white cloth, blot the stain to remove as much of the liquid as possible. Using a damp cloth you can blot the stain as well. Laundry stain removal should always be done with cold water, as to not set the stain in.

You can use laundry stain removal pre-treating products and allow the item to soak before laundering. Never place an item with a stain in the dryer, the heat will set it for good.
