This little handy item is reinforced with a layer of metal sandwiched between two pieces of suede leather trim. The metal maintains "memory" so once you have this design completed, you can shape it any way you want. Perfect for traveling. Simply lay flat in your suitcase and when you get to your destination, whammo! Bend the sides into place and you have one place to organize your room keys, spare change, tickets, watch, etc.

Since it's made with leather and metal, you are certain that it will last for years.

I just love it. I don't do much designing with leather but I love the look, feel and durability of it. This item is so easy to make, it's a pleasure! Plus, isn't it nice to make something that a man will love and use too?

Pack your little leather catchall accessory. Take a trip soon with someone you love and enjoy the journey?road trips, even the quick ones, are one of life's little pleasures.

You'll Need:

  • 1 8 ˝" x 10 7/8" black leather suede trim piece
  • 1 8 ˝" x 10 7/8" tan leather suede trim piece
  • 1 8" x 10 3/8" piece of 36 guage brass tooling foil
  • Tanners Bond Contact Cement

Tools Needed:

Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Apply a medium coat of contact cement to one side of brass tooling foil. Center and place on wrong side of black suede; press firmly. Turn piece over and smooth suede from the center to outer edges.
  2. Apply a medium coat of contact cement to remaining side of brass tooling foil. Aligning edges of leather, place wrong side of tan suede piece on top of metal. Smoothe suede from the center to outer edges taking care not to stretch leather.
  3. Test edges to ensure they are properly adhered to each other. Reapply contact cement where needed. If any edges overlap or don't meet, trim with scissors.
  4. Bend leather catchall into desired shape.
