Neck Exercise

Learning how to do a neck exercise can help relieve tension and stress. Sometimes these exercises are even used in therapy to help patients regain flexibility. This is a very simple neck exercise that can be used at home, in the office, and pretty much anywhere else. Any time you feel tension building up just take a minute and try this routine.

  • Step 1: Gently drop your head down and let it roll from side to side a few times. Do this slowly and never let your neck twist into a position that is uncomfortable.
  • Step 2: Stop rolling your neck and gently tilt it backwards.
  • Step 3: Roll your neck back and forth in this position a few times and then return your head upright to complete the neck exercise.

Neck Exercise Safety Tips

The neck is one of the most vulnerable parts of are body and must be treated with care. A neck exercise is only beneficial if you do it very gently and slowly. Turning your head around too fast or too far can create more stress if you are not careful. Rolling your head around in a 360 degree motion is unadvisable because it causes unwanted pinching.
