9 Cleaning Tips for Cooktop Stoves
Cleaning a cooktop stove is not difficult, especially if you do it often. Follow these steps to have a shiny, clean stovetop:
1. Make sure all the burners are turned off and are cool.
2. Fill your sink with very hot water and add a little dish soap.
3. Remove the trays and rims from under your burners and put them in your soapy hot water to soak.
4. While the trays are soaking, sprinkle baking soda evenly on the stove top.
5. Moisten a sponge or cloth with water, and then begin scrubbing the stovetop. The water and baking soda will form a paste-like mixture you can use to clean your stove top.
6. Thoroughly clean the top of the stove, especially around and under the burners. Use a nylon pad to clean difficult areas.
7. Lift the stovetop (if your model allows you to do this) and clean with the nylon pad or sponge beneath the burners and the stovetop
8. Once you have thoroughly cleaned the stovetop, rinse your sponge completely, and begin wiping off the stovetop. Repeat this action until all residue is removed.
9. Once the stovetop surface is clean, begin scrubbing your aluminum trays and rims. Use a stiff brush or a steel wool pad to clean them thoroughly. Rinse the trays and rims and hand dry them.
