To many who grew up with only real Christmas trees, a plastic tree is anathema to the spirit of the holiday season. Many of these real tree only diehards, however, have been won over when they discovered the many advantages of a permanent tree. Many of these real tree aficionados have also been surprised at just how realistic many of today’s permanent trees really are. From across the room, or even close up, many permanent trees look like they would be perfectly at home in any pine forest, and many of them are even better looking than the genuine article.
If you are one of those who swore never to allow an artificial Christmas tree to pass through your front door, you may want to reconsider when you look at these important advantages:
- Unlike real Christmas trees, permanent trees do not suffer from the problem of bare spots and uneven branches. Many real tree buyers are disappointed year after year when that tree that looked perfect on the lot turns out to be less so in the home.
- It is easier to choose the right size with a permanent tree. It can be difficult to gauge the true size of a tree at a Christmas tree lot, but with a permanent tree you can easily determine the size and shop accordingly. No more cramming an eight foot tall tree into a seven foot tall room.
- Permanent trees will never lose their needles, meaning no need to constantly clear the floor of unsightly and sharp needles. The maintenance needs of a real tree are great, but a permanent tree requires no maintenance. This means you can spend more time looking at your beautiful tree and less time cleaning up after it.
- There is no need to water a permanent tree. The air in many homes gets very dry in the winter, and this can cause real trees to dry out quickly. When the tree becomes too dry, it will drop its needles even more quickly, and a dry tree can present a serious fire hazard as well. When you choose a permanent tree these problems are eliminated.
- There are many different styles of permanent Christmas tree to choose from. The days of tacky aluminum and fake looking plastic trees are largely behind us, and today’s shopper has many different choices when it comes to choosing the perfect tree. From flocked trees topped with artificial snow to trees in every color of the rainbow, it is possible to find a permanent tree that is the perfect fit for any décor.
