Recessed Toilet Paper Holder

by DoItYourself Staff

A recessed toilet paper holder can be a godsend in a small bathroom.

An in-wall toilet paper holder is ideal if you have the space between the studs to install one. Recessed toilet paper holders can also be expanded to accommodate trash cans, and storage for feminine products, which you don’t really want on display to visitors to your bathroom.

A further advantage of a recessed toilet paper holder is that it is the ideal toilet tissue holder to choose if you use medicated, moist tissue paper. The in-wall toilet paper holder will keep the tissue away from the air and not cause it to dry out.

The one disadvantage of the recessed toilet paper holder is that it is difficult to remove without creating an unsightly hole in the wall. However, recessed toilet paper holders can be covered with a small door, so if you want to remove the unit, the door could be left in situ to preserve the look of the bathroom.
