Remove Waterproof Mascara: 4 Tips
Trying to remove waterproof mascara can be difficult. While waterproof mascara will make your eyelashes long and full and keep them from repelling any type of moisture that may arise. Unfortunately, it can also be a problem to remove from your lashes at the end of the day.
Choosing Your Remover
The waterproof eye makeup remover you choose should be hypoallergenic and ophthalmologist approved. If you would rather use baby shampoo, it should be the type that will not sting or produce tears. You can also try baby oil, olive oil or even baby wipes but be especially careful using these products around your eyes.
Applying the Remover
Put a small amount of the remover or baby shampoo on a cotton ball. Gently rub your closed eyelids with the remover or baby shampoo being careful not to pull on your lashes. If any mascara remains after the first application, apply more to another cotton ball and repeat.
Cleansing Your Face
Apply a small amount of your facial cleanser to a facecloth and gently cleanse your face of any remaining specks of mascara. Rinse your face and eyes with cool water.
Moisturizing Your Eyes
Apply small dabs of moisturizing eye cream around your eyes to keep the skin soft and firm.
