Rowing Exercise
A rowing exercise is one of the most beneficial aerobic exercises you can do. It can help you gain strength, resistance, flexibility, and balance all at once. A rowing exercise is very easy to learn and very enjoyable once you get the hang of it. These are instructions for a forward moving rowing exercise.
- Step 1: Get into a rowing boat and sit in the seat with your legs in the footrests.
- Step 2: Grab the handles and position the oars in front of you while leaning backward.
- Step 3: Push the handles forward, causing the oars to go behind you.
- Step 4: Push the handles down so the oars come out of the water and return to the first position.
Rowing Exercise Tips
While doing a rowing exercise put your whole body in motion, but try not to put too much pressure on your back. Do not put your chin towards your chest and breathe freely. Most people get in the habit of exhaling while you push and inhaling while you return to the first position. It is best to take an experienced rower with you if this is your first time doing a rowing exercise.
