School Community
A school community is the community of people who comprise all the different aspects of a school. There are many people who make a school run, and the school community is who these people are, when taken collectively.
Members of a School Community
A school community is comprised of the students, the teachers, and the school administrators. Also included are the school principal, the members the school board, the grounds and janitorial staff. The school community is the larger definition of the community taken as a whole.
This effects how that community functions. For example, a school community could be regarded as vibrant and well-functioning, providing excellent education. This is an example of a ‘good school. ’ Conversely, a school community could be viewed as malfunctioning and disorganized.
Such a school community would be providing a sub-par standard of education. The overall rating of the school itself can be best judged by looking at the school community as a whole.
