Should I Test for Black Mold Symptoms with a Tape-Lift Sampling or Air Sampling?

When you are are trying to test black mold, you could use either the tape-lift method or air sampling. Both of these methods will work well when trying to determine if you have mold. The method that you use should depend on what type of mold you have. If you can see something that appears to be mold, you should use the tape-lift method and take some directly from the source. If you only suspect that you have mold, but you are not sure where, you might try the air sampling method which will determine if you have any mold spores in the air.
