The Best Time to Plant Cauliflower

Cauliflower is a great vegetable and fairly easy to grow. Though this cool temperature vegetable is pretty easy to grow, knowing when to plant them can be a bit confusing. This guide will help you decide the best time to plant your cauliflower so that you get the most bountiful and amazing crop you possibly can.

Cauliflower Season

Cauliflower grows best during two times of the year. It's a cool temperature plant, meaning it thrives in colder temperatures that would be detrimental to other plants. The best time to plant cauliflower is in the middle of summer, so you can harvest a fall crop. You can also plant your cauliflower in the middle of spring for an early summer harvest. Though these both produce a great harvest, planting them in summer and harvesting in fall will be quicker and produce more cauliflower than planting in spring and harvesting in the early summer months. Keep in mind though that if you are willing and able to start the plants out indoors you have more leeway on when you actually plant them.
