Solar water softener salts are formed in a natural process via evaporation. These salts can be sold in crystal or pellet forms, but they do not dissolve much. Rock softener salts do not cost a lot of money. However, they lack solubility like solar softener salts. On the other hand, evaporated water softener salts are the best and most soluble of the three types.

It is highly recommended that you use evaporated salts if you do not wish to clean your reservoir on a regular basis. Such salts consist of about 99 percent sodium chloride; this is the reason why they have a high solubility.

You can ask them for information about the salts that they use in order to get rid of hard water from their reservoirs and pipes. The answers that they give you may may be very helpful.

Apart from choosing water softener salt, you must also keep in mind the type of water-softening appliance you have. Remember that if you have a setting that the tank regenerates itself after a set time has elapsed, you will need a lot of salt because the tank will be cleaned even if the salt was not completely used, and therefore the unused salt will be wasted.
