Timeless Bride Hair Styles with Veils

Choosing from among the various bride hairstyles can be difficult, because there are several great options. There are also some trendy picks that won't work with veils, and you could end up frustrated throughout your wedding day trying to keep your hair together. You can hardly go wrong with timeless bride hairstyles that have been just the ticket for many brides who have gone before you.

Loose Bun

A simple hairdo that will work well with a veil and hold up for the wedding and reception festivities is the loose bun. You can choose to wear hair bangs with the bun or pull your entire hair back. It may look better to include hair fringes as well if you have a fuller face. Some bride hairstyles work well if you have long hair past the shoulders and this is one of them. You can use a hairpin to keep it all together, and the hairpin can be hidden underneath the veil.

Curls Straight Down

Show off your long locks to compliment a long flowing veil. Wearing your hear down is one of those timeless bride hairstyles that is easy to do yourself. Take a curling iron and curl your hair from the mid length down to the tips. Use your favorite styling gel if you need extra help to keep those curls in place. Keep in mind that hairsprays may be bothersome to your spouse.  You'll appreciate not having the hassle of trying to create or maintain an updo with this easy style.

Half and Half

A happy medium is to put the top half of your hair in a bun, and to hold it up by a hairpin or comb. The remaining half can be curled and left falling straight back or showing on the sides. The focal point would be the veil with this hairstyle, and you wouldn't have to worry about the entire updo falling apart at some point. If you're concerned about the shape of your face and having all of the top half of your hair pulled back, then leave hair bangs and fringes.

Curly Updo

Short or curly hair doesn't have to be an obstacle to the perfect updo. You'll have to use more hairpins and section your hair to get it all up in a bun, but it can be done and look elegant at the same time. If your hair is too short to be pulled into an updo, just curl your hair upward to give the same effect. It's best not to use bangs or fringes with this hair style so that the look doesn't come off as overdone. If you don't feel as if you have the right face type to go without hair bangs, then you would be better off choosing one of the other hairstyles.
