Tips to Clean a Waffle Maker
Clean your waffle maker after each use to ensure that it will be ready for the next breakfast and that it lasts for many years. To prevent build-up and sticking, make sure to grease your waffle maker before you use it.
Unplug the Pan
Before you clean any appliance, unplug it. This will keep you safe from getting hurt, and also keep your waffle make safe from shorting out.
Check your owner's manual to make sure there aren't any other hidden risks or secret compartments you need to clean.
Cleaning the Waffle Maker
Go over each part with a damp paper towel, wiping down the cooking surface and in between the ridges that make the waffle holes. This will get rid of the grease and grime that remains after you are done with your cooking. This will be easiest if you greased your pan to prevent sticking.
If your waffle maker has removable plates, you can wash and rinse them in a sink. If not, use a soft sponge or a paper towel with dish soap. Never use any harsh cleansers or harsh cleaning pads on the waffle maker.
