Unique Sirloin Steak

When cooking Sirloin Steak it’s imperative that you have a good recipe to enhance full taste of the steak. This recipe calls for a number of ingredients.

• 3/4 pound or 1 inch thick boneless Sirloin Steak
• 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
• 2 minced garlic cloves
• 1/8 teaspoon dried hot red pepper flakes
• 3 tablespoons medium dry Sherry
• 1 tablespoon soy sauce
• 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
• 1 teaspoon honey
• 1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter

Cooking the Steak

When cooking the Sirloin Steak it’s important to follow these steps in order.
• Season the steak with salt and pepper
• Heat the skillet with oil until it begins to smoke then cook the steak for 3 minutes on each side.
• Transfer the steak to a small plate and keep it warm.
• Pour some of the fat off of what’s left in the pan.
• Add garlic and red pepper flakes and stir over medium heat for ten seconds.
• Add Sherry and boil mixture until almost all of the liquid is gone.
• Add soy sauce, vinegar and honey while bringing it to a simmer and stirring it.
• Add the butter and stir over low heat until it’s combined into the mixture.
• Spoon glaze over the Sirloin Steak.
