What You Need
- Knot-free Board
- Wood Stain
- Rubber Gloves and Cloth Rag
- Stencil
- Weather Resistant Varnish
- Varnish Brush
- Fine Steel Wool
1. Stain the board with your favorite color of wood stain. For best results use two coats.
2. Transfer pattern to wood using carbon paper or trace from a stencil.
3. Carve out the pattern with the rotary tool. The #225 Flex-Shaft is ideal for this use.
4. Apply a thin layer of varnish and let dry. Rub finish lightly with steel wool, repeating several times.
