What colors should I paint my home entertainment center?

A home entertainment center should be painted a color that will complement the color scheme of the room and the existing furniture. Assuming the entertainment center is made of wood as opposed to chrome or plastic, you could paint or varnish it to the same color as other wooden appliances in the room, such as a coffee table or bookshelf. If the other appliances are made of wood, then a wood varnish would be the best thing to use for the job. However, if the appliances are made of metal, for example, then painting the home entertainment center would be the best option.  To keep it simple, black or white, would be safe choices.
