Which Basement Floor Coverings Are Moisture Resistant?
When it comes to choosing moisture resistant basement floor coverings, some of the more popular options are ceramic tile, porcelain tile, sheet vinyl, vinyl planks and vinyl tile. Both ceramic and porcelain tile are not susceptible to the harmful effects of moisture. They are also very hard and will not be negatively affected by a lot of wear and tear. Vinyl—whether it is in sheets, planks or tiles—is very good in damp conditions.
The only potential issue with vinyl is that the adhesive can come up if water gets under it. If the water remains on the top layer, it should not be an issue.
