Which Basement Flooring Options Are Most Durable?

by DoItYourself Staff

When it comes to basement flooring options, the most durable choices are tile and vinyl. Ceramic or porcelain tile are popular choices for basement flooring and they will hold up for many years. They will not have any issues with moisture in the basement, and they can stand up to a lot of wear and tear. Vinyl is another good option as it is very good with traffic and it will not be negatively affected by moisture either. You can get some very hard vinyl planks or vinyl tiles that will work well in addition to sheet vinyl.
