Why Remove the Baseboard When Installing Laminate Flooring?

It is important to remove the baseboard when you are installing laminate for a few reasons. With laminate, you are not going to be adhering anything to the floor. This means that you need to put the baseboards on top of the laminate to hold it down in place. You also need room to work with the laminate as it will be snapping together before going on the floor. You have to be able to put the baseboards back on top of the laminate after you are finished. This way, you can put the baseboards down directly on top of the laminate and there will be no gap.
