Wireless ceiling speakers may sound like a great idea, but there are a few good reasons why you might want to stay away from them.
Ceiling Installation
In order for your wireless ceiling speakers to work, they have to be installed in your ceiling, not on them. This involves cutting holes in your ceiling and insuring that the ceiling hole is deep enough. Once installed, you have the possibly of painting or plastering the whole ceiling over.
Sound Quality
If you like your bass deep and booming, then wireless ceiling speakers are not the way to go. Because of their placement, you don’t get that surround sound. In fact, having the sound coming at your ears from above, rather than the sides, can be a bit disconcerting and may take time to get used to.
Speaker Repair
Floor speakers may take up more space, but if they break, repair is simple. With wireless ceiling speakers, fixing them is a bit more involved as they have to be removed from the ceiling. During installation, to get the best sound quality they are fitted securely and tightly, making removal a hassle.
